The Studio Art minor is offered by the Department of Art and Art History. Students interested in the minor must contact the Studio Art minor coordinator to fill out and submit the Studio Art Minor Declaration Form.
The minor in Studio Art provides an opportunity to explore studio arts across a range of media and artistic practices.
Requirements
Students wishing to complete this minor must fulfill the following requirements:
- A minimum of 15 credits in ART courses
- Either ART 1010 Foundation: Studio Concepts or ART 1030 Drawing I or ART 1040 Drawing II
- Four ART courses at the 2000 level or above (minimum of 12 credits)
ART 4901 Senior Project is not open to art minors.
A maximum of six credits of ART 2993 Foreign Study or ART 3993 Foreign Study may be used to fulfill the requirements of the minor.
No portfolio review is required for the art minor.
